This is a simplified wave analysis of oil trends over the coming period. The clear pattern before us has been moving within a downward channel for a long time, while the numbers show that we are currently within a large A – B – C correction path.
Wave A is completed, followed by a corrective rise, forming wave B, and the decline we are seeing now is within the larger wave C.
The expectation is for a continuation of the decline to levels close to: 42.71
Thereafter, we may see a simple rally that forms a correction within the fourth sub-wave, and then continues down to the fifth wave within C until the pattern is fully completed.
Overall, the overall trend remains bearish until Wave C is completely over.
