Waymo begins testing the franchise in Philadelphia

Waymo is adding four more cities to its growing list of Rotataxiku. The company announced Wednesday that it has begun testing its autonomous vehicles (and its interloper) in Philadelphia, and that it will begin piloting them in Baltimore, St. Louis, and Piltsburgh.

Waymo did not give a timeline for when it plans to launch products in those regions, nor do we know if the company that will sign the letters will cooperate with other companies to use Rotaxis in everyone. This has been going on in cities like Atlanta and Austin, where the brand has shared with Uber to prevent Uber from driving Robotaxi for you.

But the new location joins a list of 20 cities where the company offers riders, sales processing, or testing. Waymo now offers free files in Los Angeles, Phoenix, and the San Francisco Bay Area. The company plans to reach a million a week by the end of 2026.

Waymo has done all of this while claiming to be five times safer than humans, according to reports The company has recently been released.
