UK says Russia carried out submarine operations via cables and pipes

These “mini-subs” can be secretly launched at night from spy ships like the Jantar, which have previously been seen in the English Channel. They have the ability to cut cables or, in some cases, people fear, block them so that Russia can monitor the data passing through them.
