Travis Kelce shared about whether he is planning to retire after the current NFL season ends.
The 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end reportedly admitted to reporters that he hasn’t made a final decision on whether this will be his last season. to multiple outlets Friday, November 21st.
Travis explains that he got it from his elder brother Jason’s National Football League Retirementhe said that if he decides to leave, he wants to give the team as much notice as possible to show respect for the Chiefs.
“You know, seeing my brother go through this and seeing … how the league works and the season starting back up in April, I wanted to give the Chiefs a good chance to know if I was going to come back,” he said. “And vice versa. Like, whether they want me back or not, that’s one of the things I want to make a decision on before they get the draft pick and free agency opens up.”
He added, “I want to make a decision before they get the draft picks and free agency open to properly fill out the roster… all of that will be at the end of the season. I won’t think about it until then.”
Speculation is rife that Travis is preparing to retire, especially after he is engaged taylor swift earlier this year.
Jason, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, will retire after the 2023 season.

“That’s when you start to know that whenever it comes, you need to walk away,” Jason said. “(It’s) fighting your body, like, you were once able to do something that you can’t do anymore. That’s when you’re like fighting the body, continuing to recover it. That’s when it starts to get difficult. The bottom line is everybody knows when to do it.”
That same month, Travis insisted at a press conference that he had no immediate plans to retire.
“I’m going to keep doing this until the wheels fall off,” he said at the time. “I can definitely understand that this is the end of the road, not the beginning. I just have to make sure I’m ready to finish playing football as well.”
He added: “I love coming to work every day. Obviously, I know there are opportunities for me outside of football. I think you have to put me in perspective, when I came to this building, I was a little kid.”
Recently, Travis spoke on ESPN about his potential retirement plans Monday night countdown.
“Man, I’m going to be lucky enough to play with these guys year in and year out, man,” Travis said in October. “I do it day after day, year after year. I just love working with these guys.”
