Toyota is keeping its bets on the combined US cars

Toyota said Tuesday it will invest $912 million in five factories to increase production of hybrid vehicles.

Sales in compact cars – where Toyota is the market leader – are part of those who had the opportunity to announce recently that it will reach $ 10 billion in five years in the United States. It also comes at a time when Toyota, and the rest of the industry, are trying to navigate the tax crisis and the end of the Federal tax bill.

The headquarters will be distributed among five Toyota plants in West Virginia, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Mississippi, and will focus on expanding the lines of vehicles used in hybrid vehicles.

About $125 million will be spent on the production of the hybrid Corolla, the first of its kind to be assembled in the United States. The largest contract, about $ 453 million, will advance the production of 4-six-year-old hybrid engines, and the traffic of the Toybrid, West Virgina, plant.
