Full of hope for Matt and Eve’s future
Jenna Elfman opens up after joining show Share your screen with Tim Allen.
“I loved shooting scenes with Tim. I was so excited and it took a few episodes to think, ‘Okay, who are we? Who are you? How does he perform in this format? What’s his timing like?’ It took a while to see how we danced together as partners,” Elfman told Us in February 2025.
Elfman specifically praised Allen’s ability to support her as a scene partner, adding, “He’s so confident as a comedian. He’s confident, I’m confident, and we don’t care if something (doesn’t work out). When you do it long enough, you’re not paranoid that a joke doesn’t work, and you don’t care. There’s nothing precious about it, and there’s enough confidence to support the exploration of humorous scenes.”
Bringing Matt and Eve’s love story to life
“I’m really grateful because it feels really good to have two confident guys playing. The other thing I really appreciate about Tim is that he gives me complete freedom to take up space with whatever I bring to the table,” Elfman noted to us. “I don’t feel like he’s sitting there judging. I don’t feel like he’s sitting there evaluating my comedy or my ability to tell jokes.”
She continued: “I just felt like he had confidence in my abilities and everyone around him. I was allowed to be myself in the space in front of him. That trust is really cool when you’re doing comedy.”

Ahead of season 2, showrunner Michelle Nader Poking fun at the journey of this fictional couple.
“I would say they’re really fun to watch,” Nader shared us September 2025 About Screen Updates. “It’s fun to watch their relationship develop, so they’re going to kick into high gear — but it’s going to be a bit of a roller coaster.”
Matt and Eve aren’t over yet
