She has served faithfully, graduated from college and is pursuing her dream of law school. Her future is meaningful and her life matters.”
The statement continued, “This is not a time for speculation or easy answers. This is a time for grief, compassion and love. The Bible reminds us that even Jesus paused and wept in the face of loss, and today, our community weeps too. Today, we mourn.”
The church asked for “prayers for her family, for all who loved her and for anyone who silently struggles with deep pain.”

The statement continued, “I have had the privilege of watching her grow from an awkward college sophomore to a young woman ready to take on the world as a law student. She is brilliant, driven, and intellectually fearless. One thing about Rizi is — she loves debate. She thrives on apologetics and theological discourse, and I think that’s part of why we are so close. She loves truth and is not afraid to fight it.”
