The Splat app uses AI to turn your photos into coloring pages for kids

Team on Retro, a photo sharing app to close friends and family, testing how artificial AI can be used more widely. To test the latest AI technology, the team created a new app called Splatwhich allows you to turn any picture into a coloring page for kids.

As any parent can tell you, kids love to color. And thanks to the Internet, there are seemingly endless pages that can be printed at home.

However, many of the websites that host these pages contain ads and other distractions, making it difficult to navigate. Sometimes, printed pages are only available for a small fee, which some parents do not want to pay, due to the loss of many children’s activities that have been written.

This inspired the Retro team to create a program to print pages at home – from your own photos or those that provide in children’s favorite, educational categories, such as animals, landscapes, flowers, fairy tales, robots, cars, and more.

To start with Splat, you’ll take a photo or take a photo from your Camera Roll. You can choose the type of image you want to decorate – such as anime, 3D video, manga, cartoons, or comics. The app will convert your photo using AI into a printable or printable page for kids to color.

Instead of a tedious sign-in process, the app guides you through your options once you start creating. Here, you are asked to select a picture of your favorite program and choose different categories that your child likes. You can also decide if you want to allow the children to change the picture as a printed page or on the screen (it’s great when the children are tired, but you don’t want them to get into a TV show or a game).

You can try one AI project to get a feel for the program. Then it costs $4.99 per week or $49.99 per year to continue creating new images. The weekly plan allows 25 pages per week, and the annual plan offers 500 pages per year. The choice to buy or find settings is closed to small children and crusts that want a year of birth parents.

In a short test, the program worked as promised, and the generation time was short, allowing you to quickly move from an idea to a printed drawing, ready to paint, cut, or anything else your child wants to do.

Splat is one of several initiatives that use artificial AI to help boost children’s creativity and imagination in new ways. Another, Stickerbox, offers printed stickers created by AI for paint, while Casio also introduced a Fluffy robotic pet named Moflin which uses AI to develop its personality over time.
