Oksana Bayul She experienced many highs and lows in her life.
The Ukrainian figure skater introduced the world to her when she won the gold medal in women’s singles skating at the 1994 Winter Olympics. After becoming a champion, Bayouer moved to the United States and began skating professionally on tour and performing.
After finding success on the ice, Bayoule faced a series of public struggles. In 1977, she was arrested for drunken driving and entered a rehabilitation program. Bayle later revealed that her drinking problem began when she began touring on ice.
“Except myself, almost all the figure skaters on the bus were adults, and the bus was full of alcohol. 1979
When Bayul was two years old, her parents divorced. After the breakup, Bayour’s father left the family and she didn’t see him for many years.
1991
When Bayul was 13, his mother died suddenly of ovarian cancer. Bayour’s father attended the funeral, but she wanted nothing to do with him, the Chicago Tribune reported. After her mother’s death, Bayouer lived with several of her coaches.

1994

Earlier this year, Bayouer was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing his car into a tree in Bloomfield, Connecticut. The charges were later dropped after Bayouer satisfied the terms of his probation and completed an alcohol education program.
