Yatanes thanked Asbille, adding, “What’s really important is that we have photos of her protest and she happily gave us permission. That was a very critical part of that scene. That’s what I think the point of that scene was.”

“As a single father of a son, it’s something that I can relate to personally, having been a single father at different times in my life, I just feel like the way it’s handled and the humanity of it is really beautiful and I wanted to be a part of it,” he shared.

If you really break it down, Tate was at that rally to honor his mother, and Casey was there to protect Tate. So without Monica, Case would never have been in that position and probably wouldn’t have found that path.”
He concluded: “We really wanted to honor the way we said goodbye to her. I also didn’t want to tread on the Yellowstone ending, because what they had was a beautiful ending. Unfortunately, real life stepped in.”
