if you have a gourd How about subscribing and getting new movies almost every week?
watch with us Found three new movies worth watching this weekend.
british drama urchinsci-fi thriller astronaut and 90s comedies sister law Starring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith Worth a look now or later this year.
Mike (Frank Dillane) is a young homeless man struggling to survive in modern London. After a period in prison, he found steady work at a high-end restaurant. But his old destructive habits threaten to upend all the progress he’s made, especially when his old friend Simon (Harris Dickinson), returned to his life. With no family or friends to rely on, can Mike create a new life for himself, or will his painful past stop him from moving forward?
Directed by Dickinson, urchin It’s a searing slice-of-life drama that pulls no punches in its portrait of a man living in poverty. A victim of both his own addiction and a broken system, Mike strives to be better than he is, but the odds seem to be stacked against him. While I don’t think “Kick-Ass” is fun to watch, it’s always entertaining, especially when it depicts Mike’s rise and fall in fortune. The film’s climax is almost surreal, and it’s up to you to interpret what happened to Mike. urchin This is Dickinson’s debut as a director, and it’s enough that you wish he’d made another movie sooner.
Sam Walker (Kate Mara) is an astronaut who has just survived a traumatic event on the space station. Now back on Earth, she is isolated in a small cabin and under covert government surveillance. After several strange incidents, Sam becomes convinced that there is a strange creature here. If she’s right, what is it? Does this have anything to do with what happened to her in outer space? If not, is she slowly going crazy as a result of being isolated from her friends and family?
astronaut is an unknown sci-fi thriller that starts with an interesting premise and then gets weird. The film cleverly introduces a few red herrings to keep you guessing where it’s going, without being too cheap or manipulative. The final act of the film is pure science fiction, as Sam discovers a shocking secret that makes her reexamine her entire life. This secret is best left for you to discover on your own, but trust me – you won’t be disappointed.

Reno Lounge Singer Deloris (Whoopi Goldberg) and her boyfriend Vince (Harvey Keitel). He’d never treated her right, but this time, he’d crossed the line – he’d killed someone! He also wants to kill her so she won’t betray him, which leads Dolores to call the police for help. They’ll protect her, but she must disguise herself as a nun in a rundown church in San Francisco. After living a life filled with sin, Dolores doesn’t know if she will ever fit in with God’s chosen people, but she must, or she will meet the Almighty sooner than she thinks.
One of the biggest hits of 1992, sister law This is a quintessential ’90s comedy, with a never-better Goldberg and a top-notch cast of seasoned character actors, with a dirty joke or two thrown in for good measure. The film takes the classic “fish out of water” concept and breathes new life into it, often with hilarious results. It’s really interesting to see Dolores trying to fit in with the other nuns, since they’re not as strict and boring as she initially thought. The film has several great musical moments, with Dolores leading her sisters in a spiritually inclined rendition of the classic ’60s hit “I Will Follow Him.” The film spawned a less than satisfying sequel, Sister Act 2: Back to Habitas well as the successful Broadway musical adaptation.
