Altman, CEO of OpenAI, shared the following on Tuesday:
“I really appreciate the people who wrote the most complex programs of any kind. It’s hard to remember that it took effort. Thank you so much for getting us to this point.” Altman shared on Tuesday.
The problem with sweet ideas is that Altman’s company invented AI is now being used as an excuse for developers and jobs. fewer jobs for young people. And it did so by teaching on large books written in the old fashioned way – with people thanking them.
His post implies that the art of hard-to-learn technology is now like the rotary phone: obsolete and redundant.
Naturally, Altman’s comments attracted memes and richer responses than his own post. While others were straightforward angry(“You’re welcome. It’s nice to know that our prize is getting fired”), the internet crowd did what it always does: snarky jokes.
