Sydney Sweeney responds to claims she had plastic surgery


Sydney Sweeney is ready to address speculation that she has had plastic surgery.

“Let’s expose their lies. I mean, I never get the job done,” Sweeney, 28, said in an interview with maid supporting role Amanda Seyfried for lure. “I’m afraid of needles, you don’t know.”

Seyfried believes that plastic surgery “really works once you get older,” while Sweeney stressed that she’s “too scared of needles.” Sweeney then shared a message to those who were comparing photos of her youth to what she looks like now as a way to “prove” that she’s done her job.

“You can’t compare a picture of me when I was 12 years old to a picture of me when I was 26 with professional makeup and lighting. Of course, I’m going to look different,” Sweeney said. “Everyone on social media is going crazy.”

Sweeney then promised Seyfried, 40, that she would “call” her if she decided to have plastic surgery.

“You have to call me and I’ll give you a little Ativan and you’ll be excited. But you don’t need it yet,” Seyfried said, to which Sweeney replied, “No. And if I did, you guys, my face would be flat.”

While Seyfried appeared confused and asked if Sweeney’s face was “uneven,” the Anyone But You star revealed that she had a childhood accident on a wakeboard that required 19 stitches, causing one of her eyelids to open “a little more than the other.”

“I still haven’t seen it, but it’s an art,” Seyfried explained. “You can’t just get it everywhere like a lot of people do. You don’t need it.”

Sweeney has been open about her body over the years, saying in September 2023 that she tries to be her own role model.

“I respect my old self,” she says women’s health then. “When I was 10, I looked up to myself at 25, and now I look up to myself at 50. I hope I make a decision that she would be proud of.”

She continued, “Whenever a new challenge comes up and I’m not afraid to push myself to try it, that’s when I’m really proud of myself. I know my body can keep going – it’s more of a mental challenge to push myself through it. I bring that skill to skiing, performing and anything I do because it’s always more mental than physical. Of course, you have to train, but at the end of the day, mind over matter.”

Two years later, Sweeney revealed she has surpassed her character 30 pounds as Christy Martin In biopics.

“I love it,” she told watt Magazine June. “I came on board to play Christie and I trained for about three and a half months. I started eating. I did weight training for an hour in the morning, about two hours of kickboxing at noon, and then weight training again for an hour in the evening.”

Sweeney says that when it comes to weight training, she has to Buy a new wardrobe.

“None of my clothes fit,” she explains. “I usually wear a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. My breasts got bigger. My butt got bigger. It was crazy! I was like, ‘Oh, my God.'”
