At the SXSW conference on Friday, Spotify co-CEO Gustav Söderström he announced a new feature, launching in beta, that will allow listeners for the first time to review and update their Taste Profile, an algorithmically generated sample of their music preferences.
Kulawayi’s history is central to Spotify’s strategy, including playlists such as Discover Weekly, Made For You, and a year-end review called Spotify Wrapped, among others.
Starting with Premium subscribers in New Zealand, Spotify allows users to view all their audio content in one place in the app, including songs, podcasts, and audiobooks. Users will be able to edit this profile and fine-tune their preferences in the future by asking for more or less of a particular vibe. After doing so, the home page of the program will show different views.

To access your Profile, users click on their profile picture, then download it. Changes can be made using natural language.
Spotify had already offered some tools to remove music from your Playlist in the past, but it wasn’t enough. Instead, users were able to opt out transportation or list of games from their history. Because of this, and the hidden nature of Taste Full History, Spotify users often complain that the app’s recommendations don’t reflect their preferences.

Today, users often share their Spotify account with others, such as family members who access their account through a smart speaker or smart TV in the living room, for example, or teenagers who take CarPlay while driving.
In some cases, users may listen to music that they do not want to label as “sweet,” such as the sounds of sleep or the quiet music they play at night, or music that pleases their children. Users don’t always remember which songs or playlists to delete, and they don’t have time to go back and do it. This can cause Tasting History to be full of songs readers don’t like.
