Spotify has released AI-powered Sports Music in the UK and other markets

After testing its AI-powered “Prompted Playlists” feature in new Zealand and start soon in the US and CanadaSpotify he announced Monday that it is offering the tool to Premium subscribers in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and Sweden.

Suggested Playlists allow users to create personalized playlists by simply describing what they want to listen to in their own words. Instead of searching for individual songs or artists, users can specify the vibe, event, or inspiration they want, and Spotify will take care of the rest.

To access this section, users click “Create” and then select “Recommended Playlist,” then enter everything in English. This feature is designed to cover topics including emotion, beauty, and memory. Languages can be as broad or specific as the user wants, referencing music timings, genres, events, voices, instruments, or even requesting a playlist inspired by a TV show, movie, or personal experience. Users can also specify if they want the playlist to contain new songs or songs from their library immediately.

When a request is made, Spotify’s AI creates a playlist tailored to the request. The system takes into account the user’s listening history and integrates modern music and culture. In addition, each song comes with a short description that provides information on why it was selected for the list.

Users can change their playlist by changing their preferences or restarting. For those whose music preferences are constantly changing, the playlist can be programmed to refresh daily or weekly.

Last week, SeatGeek has partnered with Spotify helping listeners easily find links to concert tickets on the artist’s website or upcoming dates within the app.
