The owner of a South Carolina baby boutique is back in custody four days after being arrested for the 15th time this year, according to authorities.

Schronce, one of two people accused of running a scam in Oconee County, told law enforcement she ordered online from Schronce’s business seven times between October 2024 and March 2025, the Sheriff’s Office said. The total value of these purchases was close to $500.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the woman told a deputy that she sent several emails to Skrens about never receiving the items she ordered and “promising a refund.”
“However, the money was not refunded and the citizen never received the items she ordered,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
On March 16, another woman told Oconee County fraud investigators that she “pre-ordered matching children’s clothing” from a Schronce boutique in December 2024 but that she “never received it,” according to authorities.
The woman received a partial refund via a gift card, which she received several months later in July 2025, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The refund amount is $73.02.
She then used the gift cards to purchase new merchandise from Schronce’s business, but the merchandise never arrived in January as planned, according to authorities.
“The victim never received the order and because the store is now closed, the victim is unable to use the balance on the gift card,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
