“I think there’s something very romantic about Mickey and Travis,” showrunner matt lopez Exclusive story us On the decision to re-explore Mickey and Travis as a couple. “There’s something about two people who practically grew up together, got pregnant at 18, raised a child together, went through all these trials and tribulations, and then separated and then got divorced.”

“The mystery we’re trying to unravel about Mitch is that since her divorce from Travis, her relationships have been few and fleeting,” he shared. “She’s an armored character. She’s a character who trusted others and had that trust betrayed. She doesn’t wear her heart on her sleeve and she doesn’t put her feet first.”
Lopez concluded: “She’s wary of, can she leave her heart unprotected long enough to have a chance to do something? Do something profound. That’s a question that’s going to play out on screen.”
