US Weekly The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has been contacted for comment.
The last time Nancy saw her family was on January 31, when they sent her to their home in Tucson, Arizona. (Nancy shares a daughter Savannah Guthrie and Anne Guthrie and son Cameron Guthrie with late husband Charles Guthrie.)
Savannah, 54, and her siblings have made a public plea for help in finding their mother.
“We believe our mom is still out there. We need your help. Law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock to try to bring her home, to try to find her,” Savannah said in a video shared on Instagram earlier this month. “She was taken away, we don’t know where, and we need your help. So, I’m just here to ask you, not just for your prayers, but wherever you are, even if you’re far away from Tucson, if you see anything, you hear anything, if there’s anything that seems strange to you, you should report it to law enforcement.”
On February 12, the FBI released surveillance video obtained from Nancy’s home. Photos and videos show the suspect wearing all black clothing, a ski mask and a black backpack. In the image, an unidentified person can be seen trying to disable Nancy’s camera.
The FBI described the subject as “a male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build” and “carrying a black 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack.”
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said the backpack could be a clue to finding Nancy.
“We can now definitely identify that backpack as a backpack that was only sold in one place. And that was Walmart,” he told NBC News in an interview posted Tuesday, Feb. 17. “So we’re working with Walmart managers across the state to try to figure that out.”
What were the sales of this backpack in the past 20, 30 days, and the past 60 days. “
(Following reports earlier this month that a search team in Arizona had discovered the backpack, Nanos confirmed this on the show’s Monday, February 23 episode. today show discovery package Not the correct item the authorities were looking for. )

Nanos previously said they believed Nancy’s alleged kidnapping was targeted.
“I think this guy had a goal for whatever reason, and he was very heavy-handed in his methods, but I also have some very heavy-handed investigators,” he said on the Today show, which aired Wednesday, February 18. “As long as we have the ability to pursue leads, we’re not going to give up. We’re going to find Nancy, and we’re going to find out who did this.”
