ServiceNow announced a partnership with major AI player Anthropic just a week after announcing about partnership with OpenAI.
Enterprise workflow software company ServiceNow entered into a multi-year partnership with AI research lab Anthropic on Wednesday. The deal also includes embedding Anthropic’s AI models into the ServiceNow platform for its customers and bringing Anthropic’s AI to its employees.
ServiceNow declined to specify the duration of the agreement or the financial scope of the agreement.
The partnership includes making Claude’s Anthropic model family the preferred AI models for all of ServiceNow’s AI-powered tools. Claude is now also the default model that powers the company’s AI builder, ServiceNow Build Agent, which allows developers to create workflows and build applications.
The deal also involves Claude’s layoff of the company’s 29,000 ServiceNow employees. Claude Code, Anthropic’s vibe-coding product, is also available to the company’s engineers.
“ServiceNow with Anthropic is transforming intelligence to work through AI-based solutions in the world’s largest enterprises,” Bill McDermott, chairman and CEO of ServiceNow, said in a press release. “Together, we’re proving that highly connected platforms and an open ecosystem are how the future is built.”
This news comes just one week after the company announced the news AI Alliance and Anthropic Rival OpenAI which included giving ServiceNow customers access to OpenAI models through the company’s products.

ServiceNow President, COO and CPO, Amit Zavery, said the company is deliberately pursuing a multi-brand strategy.
“We do not see these relationships as competitive or cooperative,” Zavery said via email. “Enterprise customers want a choice of model. They want the right model for the right service – maintaining governance, security, and accountability on the ServiceNow AI Platform. Each model brings different strengths, and our role is to organize them in ways that deliver the best results for customers.”
The deal is the latest for Anthropic, which has announced several more deals in recent months. The company announced a partnership with Global insurance provider Allianz at the beginning of this year and the agreement with Accenture, IBM, Deloitteand Snowflake at the end of last year.
Although businesses have so far struggled to realize the measurable financial benefits of AI, VCs predicted recently that this will change in 2026 – although this is the third year in a row they have predicted this.
