Savannah Chrisley never gave up hope that her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, would be free after their respective prison terms. “In my mind, my life couldn’t go on,” Savannah said on a December 2022 episode of the “Unlocked” podcast. “I couldn’t get (…) until I knew they were going to be there.
“I started this podcast in October 2022, which is absolutely crazy. If you remember, my parents were convicted in Fulton County, Georgia, in June 2022 and (our reality show) was canceled,” she recalled. “That was my main source of income, and when it was cancelled, I didn’t really know which direction to turn. I felt like I had a huge identity crisis.”
In launching “Unlocked,” Savannah opened up a space where she “can be 110% authentic to (herself)” and share her perspective.
“This podcast has been very therapeutic for me and has shaped me into the person I am today,” she said. “I no longer feel like I have to run away from anything. I can live my authentic life on my own terms, and if you know me, you know I put everything I have into that.”
