Sadie Robertson She has provided the latest update on her baby daughter Kit’s condition after she choked and stopped breathing.
Robertson, 28, revealed: “I am currently going through anxious emotions due to the trauma of this situation and I am deeply grateful for the miracle of Kit’s full recovery and God’s undeniable help in this situation.” via Instagram Saturday, April 11th. “I’ve been off social media for a while and my family and amazing team are here to help me while I try to keep my head above water.”

“This week, Kit was sitting in her high chair eating a snack while I was preparing dinner, and then she started choking. Within seconds, you could tell how serious the situation was. My mom pulled her out of the high chair and put her in my arms when my daughter stopped breathing,” she recalled. “Everyone started moving and praying. Mom called 911, I started CPR, and everyone started praying loudly and moving the other kids downstairs.”

Robertson describes herself as someone who “likes to be prepared for every situation,” so she had previously watched videos on administering CPR “while hoping and praying that I would never have to use that knowledge.”
“I can only explain it now like my body knew what to do. I felt God’s Spirit guiding me and working with me to do what I was learning and seeing. I remember saying out loud, ‘What am I going to do?’ and then immediately started doing it and claiming life,” she recalled.
The reality star continued, “After following the treatment protocol for infant choking and performing CPR, Kit miraculously coughed and started breathing just as paramedics arrived… It was really scary, but God. My daughter and I were in the back of the ambulance, still scared, but praising God.”
Kit is the youngest of three daughters Robertson shares with her husband. Christian Huffshe got married in 2019. (The couple are also parents to Honey James Huff, 4, and Haven Belle Huff, 2. Kit arrives August 2025. )
Robertson said Kitt eventually made a full recovery after spending a night at a local hospital.
“Christian drove behind us (to the hospital), followed us, and told me there was a rainbow over the ambulance all the way,” she wrote. “We stayed overnight for observation, but within a few hours she charmed the nurse and is now perfectly healthy, happy and brightens everyone’s day!”

“I met someone today and she saw my message and she said you seem to have ‘settled down’ since you became a mom.” She was right,” Robertson wrote via Instagram in 2024. “Since becoming a mother, I don’t feel like I need to prove anything to the world…or maybe it’s just that my perspective on ‘the world’ has changed. The world used to be everyone outside of my home…now it’s the people in my home. “
Most recently, Robertson confirmed on her podcast in March that she and Hef were in No rush to have a fourth child.
“We’re not planning on having a fourth baby anytime soon. Ideally, we’d leave a lot of space between babies,” Robertson told the audience. “I hope to have some time to heal my body and enjoy the stage we are in, but we hope to have another baby one day.”
