Kayla Ray Reed Ready to share her new reality with estranged husband Ryan Lochte.
“Obviously, we’re not in a good place,” Reed, 34, told Us people In an interview published Wednesday, February 4. “I truly pray that he becomes the father our children deserve.”
In June 2025, Reed announced that she file for divorce From Lochte, 41, after seven years of marriage. The pair’s children from a previous relationship are Kaiden, 8, Liv, 6, and Georgia, 2.
At this stage of their separation, Reed said she had “parallel parenting” with the former Olympian, but they “kept their interactions to a minimum.”
“I wish him the best,” she added before sharing an update on the divorce proceedings. “It’s probably a long way off. I’d love to get divorced.”
US Weekly Lochte’s attorney has been contacted for comment.

They have a great circle of friends and a great school. Obviously, they have some little struggles and they have confusion because they’re wondering what’s going on.”
Earlier this year, Reed and her close friends Caroline Rennie launched a program called “comeback era“.
The duo hopes to deliver weekly episodes featuring “raw, authentic and resilient conversations.”
“We were like, ‘How can we create a show that inspires women and lets them know that being at the bottom is not a failure?'” Reed explains. “Redemption and taking control of your life and starting over is truly a gift from God. So why not share it with others while we learn along the way?”
While fans will have to tune in to see how much Reed talks about her personal life, the mother of three has previously shared her mindset as she embarks on a new chapter.
In October 2025, Reed reintroduced himself online social mediasaid, “I’m currently going through a complicated divorce, and let me tell you—it feels like being frozen in time. I’m using this season to rebuild, rediscover who I am, and chase my dreams with clarity and courage.”
In a recent interview, Reed said she couldn’t help but think about herself before her marriage ended.
“I admire the woman I was. Obviously, I’m proud of myself and everything I’ve overcome and all those things, but I want to find bits and pieces of her again,” she said. “I look back and think, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe what I’ve been through this year.'” I’ve said it a thousand times, but I don’t know where I would be without my girlfriend and family. They’ve been carrying me on their backs for the past year. “
