Ryan Gosling and eva mendes An endearing display in a rare syndicated television appearance.
Appearing on Thursday, March 5th, plot The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonGosling, 45, surprised his wife on her 52nd birthday.
Gosling promotes his upcoming movie on late night talk show, Hail Mary Projectin which he plays a teacher and uses the opportunity to make a grand romantic gesture.
“It’s Eva’s birthday. She’s here,” Gosling told the audience packed with teachers. “You have no idea how much she loved the teachers. Loved you all so much. She still had the belt from the hall monitor when she was little. She hung it proudly around the house.”
He then asked the crowd, “If I get her, will you sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to her?” The crowd enthusiastically agreed to the request.
After producers grabbed Mendes from backstage and guided her toward the stage, Gosling left her seat next to the host Fallon to approach his wife. The actor took Mendes’ hand and led her to the audience to surprise her.
As part of the elaborate surprise, the North Bergen High School marching band began playing “Happy Birthday” while a giant banner read “Happy Birthday Eva.”
couple Mendes was visibly delighted as she grabbed Gosling’s arm in the adorable moment. Then she tenderly held her husband’s face, leaned over and whispered something in his ear, and kissed him sweetly on the cheek.

After Mendes shared a throwback post of her and Gosling the place Beyond the Pinesone fan commented that they wanted to see Mendes on the red carpet while Gosling promoted his movie Barbiereleased that year.
“What a cool comment, thank you,” Mendes responded at the time. “But we don’t do these things together.”
She explained, “Like these photos that I post, I feel like posting them because it’s already out there.”
Mendes also pointed out that a photo of the two taken in September 2012 was the only time they’ve been photographed together on a red carpet.
“Oh wait – for those of you who might catch me ‘lying’ – we only walked the red carpet together once while promoting this movie,” she added in a follow-up comment.
