Authorities confirmed on February 13 that “DNA other than that of Nancy Guthrie and her close contacts” had been found at her home in Arizona.
“Investigators are working to determine where it belongs,” a statement shared with multiple media outlets at the time said. “We will not disclose the location of the DNA.”

Authorities have not identified persons of interest or suspects in the matriarch’s ongoing disappearance, but investigators did rule out Savannah, her brother Camron, her sister Annie and their families. Provided by NBC News“No one in this family is a suspect,” Nanos told KOLD 12 News on Feb. 16. “So I’m telling everybody, as of today, you (the media) need to get this over with and get out. People are hurting. They’re victims. I would say, they’re clear. We’ve cleared them.”
On February 12, the FBI released an official description of a potential suspect in the case after surveillance footage showed a masked man trying to disable Nancy’s front door camera.
The subject is “a male, approximately 5’9″ to 5’10” tall, with a medium build. In the (newly obtained security) video, he is seen carrying a black 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack.” Officials confirmed they have received 12,000 tips from the public related to Nancy’s disappearance and will double their reward from $50,000 to $100,000 for any information leading to her rescue or recovery.
On Friday, Nanos acknowledged that the investigation was “not moving fast enough.”
“It’s never fast enough for the Sheriff,” he said. “I want to be like you – come on guys, let’s go, let’s go, let’s go find her. But the reality is, I also know that sometimes things take time.”

While Nanos acknowledged that authorities are currently investigating “unnamed individuals” in connection with Nancy’s disappearance, he believes they are “getting closer” to finding her and her kidnapper.
“As far as leads and jobs and getting out there, I think (the investigation) is still growing, yes,” he explained. “I think we’re getting closer to identifying some other items, not just that backpack, like shoes, pants, shirts or jackets.”
Asked if he had a message for Nancy’s family as authorities continue their search, Nanos said: “We’re not going to give up. We’re going to find her. Yes.”
