On Wednesday, November 26, the 30-year-old Kansas City Chiefs quarterback teamed up with adidas Football to remind people of the most important thing about the fall holidays.
“Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks,” he explained in a statement. Instagram video. “Go home, see your family, make new friends. Thanksgiving is a time for eating.”

The video ends with: “Happy Thanksgiving from Patrick Mahomes.”
Soon after the video was posted, fans couldn’t help but make noises about Mahomes’ choice of condiments for his turkey meal.
“Ketchup on turkey bro? 😂 Come on man,” one fan wrote in the comments section. Another user added, “Yeah he needs to drink ketchup to calm down😂.”
However, one Kansas City Chiefs fan doesn’t care what the quarterback eats for Thanksgiving. Instead, the focus should be on his performance on the football field.

This isn’t the first time Mahomes has made headlines for his love of ketchup.

“Just ask,” Patrick’s mom, Randy Mahomessaid at the time. “I know you want it.”
While speaking alone with reporters, Patrick was asked about his condiment preferences at the press conference.
“I don’t think it’s weird, but I put it on macaroni and cheese,” he shared reporter. “People seem to think it’s a weird thing to do and some people think it’s disgusting, but it’s good for me.”
Food preferences aside, Patrick and his wife, Brittany Mahomesare taking the time to express gratitude for the life they’ve built together.
Ahead of the competition, Brittany, 30, shared a series of fall-style photos taken with her husband and their three children, Sterling, 4, Bronze, 2, and daughter Kim Rae, 10 months.

While it’s too early to tell if Brittany and the kids will be spectators at Patrick’s Thanksgiving game, some family members cheered on the Chiefs at their game on Nov. 23.
