Pakistan mosque bombings: Where the attack took place

A suicide bomber detonated a device at a Shia mosque, killing at least 31 people and injuring nearly 170 others, police said.

Witnesses told the BBC that gunshots were heard before the explosion.

As hospitals began to admit the wounded, the government declared a state of emergency and issued a call for blood donations.

Pakistani journalist Caroline Davis visited a mosque in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, after the deadly attack.
