Fan-only creator Robert Xia To accommodate the size of her breasts, she had to upgrade her ticket – at a cost of more than $50,000.
Robert has macromastia and finds it very difficult to sit comfortably in an economy class seat because her breasts are a size 30R and she can carry over 50 pounds. (This rare condition causes persistent overgrowth of the breasts, according to a press release obtained US Weekly.)
“The lack of financial space means I can’t do this,” Robert, 28, said in the release. “Even something as simple as putting the tray table down for dinner is difficult, it doesn’t go all the way down.”
Roberts, who estimates she has spent more than $50,000 on flights over the past two years to upgrade from economy to business class seats, said the size of the aircraft cabin also results in physical contact with people nearby.
“The biggest difficulty is comfort, especially on long flights,” she said. “I would always have my breasts touched by the person next to me, which made both of us uncomfortable. I needed to do business or I wouldn’t be able to have dinner on the plane or be touched by other passengers.”
Robert, he has Over 277,000 Instagram followers, Recently, she suffered severe burns when scalding hot tea spilled onto her chest due to limited space that did not allow her a stable surface.
“My breasts were burned two or three weeks ago,” she said. “I poured the scalding tea on them and burned them completely. My breasts are now red.”
“I got very, very warm because there was a lot of weight on my chest,” she continued. “In a crowded cabin, this physical stress becomes unbearable.”
While flying business class to Thailand, Robert knew it was time for a change.
“It was like a new world,” Sommer recalled. “I just feel like every flight is hell and there’s nothing I can do about it.”
Robert hopes to use her struggles to convey a message about the reality of her life.
“In a world increasingly designed for one-size-fits-all standards, sailing does take a physical and financial toll,” she said.
She continued, “I want people to know that it’s not all glitz and glam. It’s certainly fun and I love my body so much, but there are definitely flaws.”
