A 15-year-old Texas high school student was shot and killed by another teen accused of brandishing a gun in a car after a New Year’s Day party, authorities said.

At Tascosa High School, Hampton played for the volleyball team and was a member of the National Honor Society, her obituary said.

Hampton’s funeral will be held in Amarillo on Tuesday, Jan. 6, according to Hampton’s obituary.
“She will then be flown to Paducah, Texas where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved great-grandmother,” her family’s GoFundMe page reads.
Jeremiah and Landry are being held at the Porter County Detention Center, jail records show.
Jeremiah’s bail was set at $500,000, while Landrey’s bail was set at $250,000, KFDA-TV reported.
