Los Angeles Chargers offensive lineman Ben Cleveland has agreed to pay his estranged wife, Caitlin Terrell ClevelandMore than half a million dollars were spent to settle their divorce, according to documents obtained California Postal Service.
Ben, 27, agreed to pay Caitlin $550,000, part of which will be used to repay a 2024 Land Rover he agreed to give her, according to the agreement filed in late January. In return, Caitlin agreed to give up her rights to some real estate the couple once owned.
The agreement also stipulates who is entitled to the couple’s property, with Ben getting his gun and thermal scope back and keeping their two Georgia properties. Caitlin will receive a golf cart, rugs and pillows, bedroom furniture and kitchen utensils.
The parties agreed not to “make any disparaging remarks of the other party in any form” or “post any content about the other party on any social media platform.”
Ben filed for divorce first February 2025, just days after being arrested for DUI. However, he cited the word “adultery” in court documents Caitlin denies cheating on him.
He was arrested on February 12, 2025, when he tested positive for a blood alcohol level of 0.178 following a traffic stop. He was charged with drink driving and failing to maintain lane and was released on bail.
Ben, a 2021 third-round draft pick of the Baltimore Ravens, met Caitlin when they attended the University of Georgia from 2017 to 2020. He proposed to Kaitlyn in 2020 during a trip to Las Vegas.
“Honestly, your first name and my last name sound better together and probably always will,” Ben wrote on Instagram at the time, next to a carousel in front of the fountain at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino. “There’s no one I’d rather spend my life with, and now we can give it a try.”
That June, he shared another update, saying the wedding was still a few years away.
“Two years until you actually become my wife,” he shared a photo from the beach day via Instagram. “Not sure, we haven’t really started planning the wedding yet and we’ve been engaged for six months, so it’s up to her. But she’s going to be my wife, so that’s kind of cool.”
The couple’s separation date is listed as December 29, 2024. Just three days ago, Kaitlyn shared a post from the Ravens Christmas Day game, which showed the couple posing on the sideline.
All photos of the pair have since been deleted from Instagram.
