Natural gas prices have been rising since the conflict began, surging following Iran’s attack on Qatar. The UK benchmark hit a peak of nearly 183 pence on Thursday before falling back to 154.8 pence, up 11.3% from Wednesday’s levels. European prices have also increased by more than 10%.
