It was an extremely short-sighted, selfish and dangerous decision. I want to give a shout-out to the police for helping people stay safe on the road because this could have been a lot worse than it actually was.”

Reflecting on the incident, Chase admitted he should have made different choices.
“I should have Ubered, but for some reason I decided to drive home, and that decision alone kills people every day,” he said. “I understand the seriousness of it. Obviously, it’s a humiliating, low-level act to be pulled over and taken in. To me, it looks bad.”
