Makeshift memorials continue to be erected outside Plainville homes following a tragic trio of murder-suicides on Friday, March 27.
Patrick KingMatthews’ boyfriend allegedly called his sister after the murder to tell her what he had done. He also told her he planned to die, police said.
After the police arrived, a confrontation took place for several hours. SWAT negotiators contacted King, but he refused to withdraw peacefully.
After breaking in, they discovered the body of 31-year-old Felisha, their 4-year-old daughter Ava Kingand Milena MatthewsFelisa’s 12-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. All were shot.
Memorials on the home’s front steps include Easter cards, spring flowers such as tulips and stuffed bunnies, According to WFSB. The community was decorated with pink ribbons over the weekend in memory of the three victims.

Multiple neighbors said the family had only moved to Prineville in January and had just begun making friends in the area.
Christine St. Pierre She said her daughter attended Prineville High School with Milena, who was new but very friendly.
“It’s unbelievable. My daughter was obviously distraught because she knew this girl,” St. Pierre said.
Plainville schools provided grief counselors and students coordinated to wear all black in honor of Milena.
Police are still investigating but do not yet know the motive for the violence.
Matthews was a 911 dispatcher for the city of Waterbury.

“I walk around this neighborhood two or three times a day, and you never know when something is going to happen. Those poor, innocent kids and that beautiful mother — I really don’t have the words to describe it,” Knox said.
“Our hearts go out to the family’s friends and everyone in this community who is grieving and looking for answers,” said Prineville Town Council President Christopher Wozzoko In a statement, according to The Hartford Courant. “The loss of life is deeply painful for this close-knit community and our hearts go out to all those affected.”
Fox 61 spokes One of Milena’s classmates, Nico, said she was always seen smiling.
“I heard she was home or not. I was just confused. First it was a bunch of cars and then a SWAT truck in our driveway,” Nico told local media. “She doesn’t go to school much; she misses two or three times a week.”
