Catherine’s family confirmed her death Tuesday, February 24th. “It is with deep sadness that we confirm the passing of Katherine Hartley Short. The Short family is devastated by this loss and requests privacy at this time,” Martin’s rep tells us us in a statement. “Catherine was loved by all and will be remembered for the light and joy she brought to the world.”
No further details were provided, but the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed us On Monday, February 23 at 6:43 pm PT, “officers received a radio call regarding a possible suicide in the 2800 block of Westshire Drive.”
When authorities arrived, “officers discovered the body of a female at the scene,” the Los Angeles Police Department added. Catherine’s official cause of death has not yet been announced.
