In fact, it’s not even legal. Congress named the Performing Arts Center a living monument in 1964, and only Congress can change that law.”

The White House confirmed Thursday, December 18, that the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees voted to rename the Kennedy Center the Trump-Kennedy Center.

“I just learned that the esteemed Kennedy Center Board of Trustees, which includes some of the most successful people from around the world, has just voted unanimously to rename the Kennedy Center the Trump-Kennedy Center because of the incredible work President Trump has done over the past year to save this building,” the White House press secretary said. Trump, and likewise, congratulations to President Kennedy, because this is going to be a truly great team for a long time to come! There is no doubt that this building will reach new levels of success and grandeur.”
