Why is now the perfect time for Lisa Rinna to provide more information?
I didn’t actually want to write a book. It wasn’t really what I wanted to do, but I was a businesswoman. About two years ago, my agent came to see me. …I met three different writers and I really liked one of them. I think they have my voice. I think they understand who I am. They know my career. I said, “Why not?”
Is there anything you wish more or less was said?
It’s very vulnerable if you put yourself out there and say what I said. People can judge (my book) all they want, but this is my take on all of these situations.
Is Harry worried about digging up the past?
No, because he’s seen me go through most of it. I think it’s cathartic. The evolution of life is really cool. Harry knows me. I’m a pretty strong girl.
How does he feel about your transition from housewife to fashion star?
He got a kick out of it, as we all do. He is my biggest cheerleader. He always says to me, “You elevate every show you put on and make it a hit,” which is lovely about your husband.
What do you want to do next in the fashion industry?
The cover is Fashion. Metropolitan Museum of Art Charity Gala. I have a lot to do. If someone came to me and was a billionaire and wanted to create a product line like Skims, I would say yes.
You write that your daughters didn’t get along at one point.
This happened when they were teenagers. I was worried but they solved the problem. Everyone came back together. Now they are thriving in their careers! It’s so magical to watch because it’s not handed over to anyone. Yes, they are Nebo babies, but they work hard. They are living their dream.
You are open to lasers and Botox. Are you ruling out any plastic surgery?
I have no idea. There’s a lot we can do to make you feel better, so I think it’s a really exciting time to be a woman.

Do you still feel glamorous at the age of 62?
I do. At this point, I thought, “You know what? Numbers don’t matter.” Look Demi Moore At the age of 63, Cher At the age of 79, Pam Anderson 58 years old. I could go on and on.
You describe leaving “RHOBH” as a leap of faith. Is it worth it?
Oh my gosh, yes. I’ve never looked back. I probably should have left earlier, but that’s what happened. I am grateful for every experience.
Have other actors taken you more or less seriously since “Housewives”?
i did it housewife I’ve been working for eight years, but my career is 37 years old. People I’ve known for a long time consider me a warrior. It’s pretty amazing that I’ve been able to branch out into all these different areas and be successful.
What are you looking for in the next phase of your acting career?
It’s fun to be on a popular show that’s so well written. That’s great. Sometimes I just try to be open to the universe and what it has to say to me. I just have to be open to what is most real.
In your book you explain the difference between “Rinna” and “Lisa” – tell us About that.
Lisa was at home wearing Liberty City sweatpants, a headscarf and no makeup. Rinna is a larger than life character that we all know, understand, and maybe like. I knew exactly when she was out and when Lisa was out.
What’s next for you?
I’ve been here for a long time and when sometimes it feels like shit, it feels really good and then, all of a sudden, it feels like I’m thriving again. Isn’t it great that life can hit rock bottom and then rise like a phoenix from the ashes? I feel like I have been reborn like a phoenix, and I am really happy.
