Georgia police have found rapper’s body Lil Jonmissing son, Nathan Smith (aka DJ Young Slade). He was 27 years old that year.
Milton Georgia Police Department Confirm via Facebook On Friday, February 6, “Cherokee County Fire Department divers located and recovered a body from the Mayfield Park pond near Smith’s home.”
“The individual is believed to be Nathan Smith, pending formal identification by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office,” the statement read. “Based on the investigation to date, there are no indications of foul play. However, the Milton Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division continues to treat this as an open and active investigation.”
The police department confirmed that “no further details will be released” until the cause and manner of death are determined.
“Our deepest condolences go out to the Smith family during this difficult time,” the statement concluded. “The department would like to ask members of the community and media to respect the Smith family’s request for privacy as they grieve and work through this tragedy.”

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of my son Nathan Smith. His mother (Nicole Smith) I’m frustrated. Nathan is the kindest man you will ever meet. He was very loving, thoughtful, polite, warm, enthusiastic – he loved his family and the friends in his life so much,” the rapper said. “He was a very talented young man; Music producer, artist and engineer, graduated from New York University. We love Nathan with all our hearts and are incredibly proud of him. He was loved and appreciated, and it was comforting to know we showed him that sentiment during our last time together. “

According to the Milton Police Department, Smith, 28, was last seen at 6 a.m. local time on Tuesday, February 3, near Baldwin Avenue and Mayfield Road in Milton, Georgia.
“The subject ran out of the home and has since been missing,” police said in a missing persons report posted on their website.
