kris jenner and Khloe Kardashian Kardashian-Jenner’s annual Christmas Eve party has kicked off.
“For those of you who don’t know, we have this traditional Christmas Eve party every year since before I was born, my mom has been throwing these parties since the ’70s,” Kardashian, 41, said on the Wednesday, December 17, episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “Kohler’s Wonderland” podcast. “My mom always hosted them and then once her kids got older and you felt reassured that we would represent you appropriately, she would pass the baton to you and we all did a great job. It used to rotate who would run the sibling’s home.”
Jenner, 70, added that the party was “a really big undertaking.”
“I think it does take a lot of effort, time, resources, money, creativity, all of that,” Jenner explained. “Before social media platforms, it was much easier to make digital photos and we used to do this, we would do a full photoshoot with the whole family and we would put on our Christmas costumes and take these beautiful photos and the more kids everyone had, they would get bigger and bigger. It makes me happy.”

Kohler explained that families will also hold meetings, but not everyone will attend, to help plan the event.
“Not everyone is going to show up, and that’s fine, but if you don’t show up, you don’t have a voice,” Khloe shared. “Then you can’t go into the third meeting and say, I don’t like that. No, we had two meetings before and we already decided on X, Y and Z.”
As for who paid for it all, Khloe revealed that they “split the cost of the party evenly.”
“These parties are so big and have grown to such a huge size that everyone looks forward to it every year. Our friends who never celebrate Christmas all love coming,” Chris said. “It’s so much fun, we always dance at the end of the party and we always have a DJ and usually a show, which is really exciting, the last time we had a party I think it was Babyface and played all his beautiful Christmas music and then we had a DJ and we had the best time.”
Khloe Kardashian got into the holiday spirit with a little help from her family. Kardashian, 40, took to Instagram on Tuesday, December 17, to share a video of her 8-year-old niece Dream listening to music with daughter True, 6, and son Tatum, 2, in their home filled with holiday decorations. (…)
Kris explained that the annual bash started small but grew exponentially as her children began inviting friends to the party.
“When you grow up and you all have your friends, all of a sudden you have a hundred more people and now there are hundreds, two or three hundred people at Christmas parties,” she reflects. “I thought, ‘Okay, this has got to start spinning.’ I thought it was more interesting.”
Khloe admitted she wasn’t too keen on hosting the annual event and expressed gratitude to her mom for sparing her this year.
“I didn’t want to be in control. I didn’t want that many people in my house. I’m so proud of you for saving me this year,” she admitted. “Because they were like, ‘Kim’s house is under construction, Kourtney’s house is under construction.’ “I don’t know what happened to Kylie, why that wasn’t an option, I don’t even know what happened, and then you say, ‘Let’s put it at Kendall’s house.’ It’s nice because everyone is like, ‘Khloe’s house!’ Do you think I want people to come to my house? No, no! I don’t want to go to the party. “
