Manon’s absence from Coachella comes nearly two months after Katseye announced plans to quit the band.
“After an open and thoughtful dialogue, we are announcing that Manon will be temporarily taking a break from group activities to focus on her health and well-being,” the band wrote in a statement posted on social media platform Weverse. “We fully support this decision.”
The band assured fans at the time that the remaining Katseye members would continue to perform their duties despite Manon’s absence.
“Katseye remains committed to each other and the fans who mean everything to us. The band will continue with scheduled events during this time and we look forward to getting together again when the time is right,” the statement continued. “Thank you to our Eyekons for your continued love, patience and understanding.”
Manon also spoke in a personal statement at the time.
“Hi friends,” she wrote via Weverse. “I hope you hear my voice, I’m healthy, I’m fine, and I’m taking care of myself. Thank you for paying attention! Sometimes things unfold in ways we don’t have full control over, but I believe in the bigger picture. Thank you for supporting me. I love you endlessly and can’t wait to see you again.”

Earlier this month, Manon shared an update with fans during her ongoing break from Kezier.
“Thank you so much for your continued love and support. I really appreciate everyone’s patience and kindness during this time,” she said via Weverse. “(Katseye management) HxG and I are having positive conversations and I feel supported. I am happy and I am healthy. I will share more information soon. Thank you for always being there for me.”
