“Normally my advice to people on the show is, surrender,” Bristowe, 40, told Off the Vine on Thursday, April 9. podcast. “It’s much better when you shut up and listen.”
She continued, “I wanted to confront Artyom on a lot of things and tell him, (but) at the end of the day, I thought, ‘Nothing else matters except that he’s trying to get the best out of both of us, and if I just shut up and listen, I’m going to get a lot more out of him than if I keep trying to talk back to him.'”
Bristow and Chigvintsev, 43, were paired in 2020 Distributed WTS In Season 29, they finally won the Mirror Ball Trophy.

“You’re all professionals,” the former Bachelorette told the retired pro Cheryl Burke on Thursday’s episode. “After doing something for many seasons, you say, ‘I think I know what I’m talking about.'”
Bristow and Chigvintsev have grown apart since they fought their way to victory.
“You know, the funny thing is, I actually feel like Artem is the same as me – it’s like a business,” Bristol Exclusive story US Weekly October 2022. “And then we moved on and I hadn’t really spoken to him yet, which was kind of sad. “There’s something magical about watching it. From season one to now, I watch it with my mom,” she told me us. “You know, knowing what the process is like and knowing the hard work these dancers put in every day and how hard it is on your body and your mind, I love supporting this show and I really miss it so much that I have this overwhelming sense of joy and I love crying and laughing every time I dance and I’m like, ‘Oh, I miss it.'”
She added at the time, “It’s such a big family there. … The first thing I learned about myself during this process was my resilience. I was like, ‘My body is destined to do some crazy things. … If I can do that, dancing with the starsI can have a baby. I can do anything. ‘”
Bristow returns to dancehall in Season 34, performing special routines with contestants Andy Richter.
“I would say I (danced a) Viennese waltz, which was the centerpiece of the show,” she told extra Called to respond in November 2025. “I’m ‘Fandy,’ and together we’re ‘Kandy.’ I’ve always had Andy’s back.”
