Roberts and Maude will celebrate their 24th wedding anniversary in July. The couple met on the set of Roberts’ 2001 crime comedy Mexicanwhere Maude worked as a photographer. Both Roberts and Mode were in other relationships at the time, but later reconnected after becoming single.
Roberts and Maud began dating in 2001 and eventually tied the knot on July 4, 2002, at her ranch in Taos, New Mexico. They have three children: 21-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and 18-year-old Henry. (Roberts was once married to a country singer) Lyle Lovett for two years and with Kiefer Sutherland and Matthew Perry.)

“(Handwritten notes are) something Danny and I have always done,” she told the CBS host Jane Pauley 2022. “The first letter he wrote me was seven pages long, and I still have it tucked away. One day I’m going to show it to (my daughter) Hazel and say, ‘This is what you were looking for.'”
