Fergie Show support for Duhamel and Mari when the couple announced they were expecting baby No. 2.

“Welcome lovely people! 💖💖,” the singer commented.

That same month, Duhamel made some rare comments about his relationship with Fergie before and after their divorce.

“Believe it or not, Fergie is also super fit,” he said on the “Slimming Secrets” podcast. “She was a great mom. Thank God, very kind, very non-confrontational. We had a great relationship. She and Audra had a great relationship.”

Recalling why their marriage ended, Duhamel continued, “We were just very different. Fergie and I, we just had different views on the world. And that’s okay, you know. But I don’t regret it. We have a beautiful son. But (Fergie and Marie) are very different in a lot of ways. And, they’re both really great women. They really are.”

During an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show , Duhamel said he felt “in[Fergie’s]shadow” during their marriage.

“It was probably my own ego more than anything. I don’t think it bothered her as much as it did me. But she was a huge star at the time!” he noted.

The “Ransom Canyon” star added: “We are raising our son Axl. She is a great mom. I am now very happily married to my wife Audra. We will have a beautiful son and a little girl. (Audra and Fergie) have a great relationship, That’s all I really care about. I just want peace and I don’t want any infighting between anyone. “Thankfully, the way they dealt with it was very civil. It could have been ugly, but thankfully it wasn’t. “
