James Van Der Beek widow Kimberly VanderBeek She continues to remember her late husband as she celebrates family milestones.

“Just a few heavenly months ago. Miss you my love,” Kimberly wrote on the photo.
this varsity blues Star is dead on February 11, after battling stage III colorectal cancer. He is 48 years old.
“Our beloved James David Van Der Beek passed away peacefully this morning. He lived his final days with courage, faith and grace,” a statement posted via his Instagram account at the time said. “There is much to share about his wishes, love for humanity and the sanctity of time. Those days will come. For now, we ask for peaceful privacy as we mourn our dear husband, father, son, brother and friend.”

The actor first publicly announced that he had cancer in November 2024.
“With the support of my family, I have been dealing with this diagnosis privately and have been taking steps to address it,” he told people then. “There’s reason to be optimistic, and I feel good.”
In commemoration of James’ 49th birthday on March 8, Emilia appears in sweet video on Kimberly’s Instagram page.
In the video, Emilia shares her tips for “getting over” the death of a loved one while continuing to mourn her father.
“The first thing to do when someone dies is to talk to them and let your emotions out,” Emilia said in the video. “If you miss them, you can cry, you can talk to them… I talk to my dad every day and I start with a sentence, I say, ‘Hey dad, I miss you, I love you so much, I will never stop loving you,’ and I just tell him about my day, how I feel, and I tell my family how I feel.”
She continued, “I know he can hear me, but I can’t hear him. … You just have to feel in your heart that they’re watching you; they’re a part of you and they’re in a good place. I know my dad is in a good place. He’s not in pain anymore.”
