Jake added that he was responding to Bad Bunny’s criticism president donald trumppolicies, especially regarding immigration.
“But if you openly criticize the work of ICE and openly hate America, I will speak out about it,” he continued. “That’s it. That’s why I yell the same Hunter Hess“. Jack continued, “If you benefit from a country and the platform it provides you, but at the same time openly disrespect it, that’s what I call a fake citizen.”
He ended his statement by echoing 31-year-old Bad Bunny’s comments at the 2026 Grammy Awards, as well as what was flashed on the Levi’s Stadium scoreboard after the halftime show.
“I agree that love is more powerful than hate,” Jack wrote. “Love America.”

Logan wasn’t the only one called out for Jake’s post. new york state congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-CortezJack, who is of Puerto Rican descent, lashed out at him, pointing out that Jack himself moved to Puerto Rico.
“‘Fake American citizen?'” she wrote byX on Monday. “Didn’t you move to Puerto Rico to avoid paying taxes while kids across the U.S. were starving? Meanwhile, Benito actually funded low-income kids in arts and sports programs and you took away their funding.”
She added, “Of course you were angry. He made you look small.”
On Monday, Jake appeared to poke fun at the controversy, changing his profile on X to “Benito #1 Fan,” a reference to Bad Bunny’s full name, Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio.
He also posted, “Guys I love Bad Bunny and I don’t know what happened to my Twitter last night? wtf.”
