Jake Paul hospitalized with ‘double broken jaw’ after Netflix competition flop

A broken jaw doesn’t seem to be a problem Jake Paul.

Paul claimed to have arranged a fight with Alvarez last November, but that bout fell through and the two did not face off in the ring.

After Friday’s fight, Paul posted a video from the ring that showed off his broken jaw up close, and you could see the side of his mouth being hit. Despite the horrific scene, Paul didn’t seem worried about getting hurt.

“No problem?” he wrote in the video.

He smiled at halftime in a separate postshowing a photo of himself with a bloody tongue and a screenshot of Joshua’s right uppercut landing on his jaw, with the caption: “Haha xD.”

Friday’s fight marked the second loss of Paul’s boxing career, and despite the night ending on a tarp, Paul seemed to be in good spirits after the fight.

“I feel good. It’s fun. I love the sport,” he said, according to multiple media reports. “I’m beat, but that’s what this sport is about.

He continued, “Man, I’ve won in every aspect of my life. This sport has helped me in every aspect…I think my jaw broke, by the way.”

Joshua, 32, praised Paul in his post-match interview.

“Jake Paul is doing a really good job and he deserves his support. It takes a real man to do that and he deserves the respect to keep trying,” Joshua said. “It takes a real man to do that. We have to respect Jake Paul.”

Joshua added: “He met a real fighter tonight.”

The former two-time WBO, IBF and WBA heavyweight champion had a huge height advantage over Paul in this fight, as he was 6-foot-6 and weighed 252 pounds to Paul’s 6-foot-1 and 227 pounds.

Six rounds into their duel, Joshua delivered the decisive blow: a right hook that landed squarely on Paul’s chin, knocking him to the mat.

Just before the knockout, Paul tried to taunt Joshua by sticking out his tongue. After that, Joshua had the last word.
