On Thursday, WordPress launched a new Claude plugin, enabling website owners to share back-end content with the Anthropic chatbot system. Users can control what they want to share, and access can also be revoked if the user chooses.
In particular, Claude is given read access, which means he cannot change anything in the user’s CMS. However, last year WP he said that will provide a “writing” option to interact with the MCP party, perhaps allowing readers to perform writing tasks directly from a connected chatbot of their choice.
In any case, when Claude is connected to an account, users can ask the chatbot all kinds of questions about the content of the site – from summarizing the number of page views of the site in a month to analyzing which posts are not used the most.
WordPress has also provided list of template items chatbot-things like “Show me pending comments on my blog” or “Which of my pages has the most traffic?” or “Show me what’s causing the most discussion.” Other functions include comment management (“Show me pending comments on my blog”) and plugin management (“Which plugins are installed on my main page?”).
