social media personality Emma Chamberlain There is a reasonable explanation for why she continues to date the musician.
“Quote Sabrina Carpenter‘I swear they chose me. I wouldn’t have chosen them,” Chamberlain, 24, said on the Thursday, Nov. 28 episode of In Your Dreams podcastquoting Carpenter’s “Manchild” lyrics. “I’ve never been in a musician’s DMs—only musicians have been in my DMs.”
Chamberlain further claimed that she had also never “walked up” to a man in the music industry in a bar.
“I don’t walk up to anyone in a bar and I don’t really get into anyone’s DMs,” she said. “They did come to me, but I was also definitely attracted to the music. … I kind of didn’t understand what it was.”
Chamberlain initially example (real name Tucker Pillsbury) in 2022, nearly a year after their first public appearance. Chamberlain and Role Model, 28, split in 2023 and next year she moves on and Peter McPoland. Chamberlain announced she was single earlier this month on her eponymous podcast.
while speaking Owen TillerChamberlain reflected on how her two relationships began in the podcast.
“The first time he randomly made music was, like, during COVID,” Chamberlain said of her romance with her role model. “It was irrelevant, like, I don’t care.”
In the years after Chamberlain split from Role Models, he posted his Kansas no more album 2024. Some fans have since speculated that there were multiple references to Chamberlain.
“It’s funny. I’ve learned about my own relationships through music,” Chamberlain said in response to fan speculation. “I really learned that maybe how people feel about me through music. (It’s) great, but it’s also kind of weird when you hear it more in music than you hear it in real life. It’s like, ‘Do you really feel this way?'”
She continued, “People who make music, it’s their art, it’s their expression. It’s how they share their feelings and their emotions. It makes perfect sense that this would be a safer space than talking freely in a relationship.”
While Chamberlain didn’t mention her role models by name in the podcast, she admitted that she tries to “learn” from the musical comparisons.
“I pretty much dig it myself,” she says, noting that she enjoys analyzing lyrics. “I’m curious about how they’re really feeling, even though we’re in a relationship. It’s like, ‘What are they really feeling?’ It’s great because you get more information, but it’s also emotionally turbulent. It’s weird, but I’m addicted.”
When Chamberlain began dating 25-year-old Mike Pollard last year, she was equally unaware of his musical pursuits.
“When I met this person the second time, I had no idea they made music,” the YouTube expert said, alluding to Mike Pollard. “I found out later and I was like, ‘Oh, now, we’re doing it again.'” … It was an accident. “
Chamberlain has put her past relationship behind her and is now looking forward to her next chapter.
“I’ve had quite a few boyfriends with short breaks in between, which meant I wasn’t really single yet. Now that I’m single again, it’s a little daunting,” she said on the “Anything Goes” podcast earlier this month. “This time, I know I should be single a little longer than two or three months. I want this time I need to be single About a year. “
