India is restoring a centuries-old royal kitchen that never stopped serving food

According to historians, in 1839, Muhammad Ali Shah donated 3.6 million rupees (considered a huge sum of money at the time) to the East India Company, the then British trading conglomerate, on the condition that the company would maintain the monument built by Awad Nawab and the kitchen would continue to function on the interest earned from the fund.
