US TV presenter Savannah Guthrie believes her mother has been kidnapped and two ransom notes are genuine, but more information is needed to find the kidnapper.
“We can’t be at peace if we don’t know,” she said in an interview on NBC News’ “Today” show that aired Thursday, her first interview since the apparent abduction of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie.
More than 50 days have passed since Guthrie was first reported missing on February 1. Authorities believe the 84-year-old was kidnapped, kidnapped or otherwise taken against her will. The FBI has released surveillance video of a masked man outside Guthrie’s front door the night she disappeared.
The Guthrie family is offering a $1 million reward for information leading to the mother’s recovery.
