Hundreds in Beirut mourn journalist killed in Israeli attack

BBC Middle East correspondent Hugo Bachega reports on the funerals of three journalists killed in a targeted Israeli attack in southern Lebanon on Saturday 28 March.

Ali Shoeib was killed in the town of Jezzin, along with Al Mayadeen channel journalist Fatima Ftouni and her brother, photographer Mohamed Ftouni, Hezbollah-affiliated Al Manar TV reported.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed it had killed Shuaib and described him as a “terrorist” but provided no evidence to support claims he had a military role in the group. The Israeli military has yet to make any comment on the killings of Fatima and Mohammad Fotoni.
