Huge landslides hit Sicily after Storm Harry

A 2.5-mile (4-kilometer) stretch of cliffs on the Italian island of Sicily collapsed after being battered by wind and rain from Storm Harry last week.

More than 1,000 residents have been evacuated from their homes in Nishemi and a geological survey is underway to assess the area.

There were no reports of casualties, but aerial footage showed numerous buildings and vehicles destroyed.

The landslide occurred on Sunday and parts of the cliff continued to collapse on Monday, local media reported.
